Suzuki Swift



Starting in 2000, Suzuki in Japan produced a subcompact car by the name of Swift. Suzuki Swift takes root on Suzuki Cultus. It is a super mini or subcompact car with four body settings comprising of three doors hatchback, four doors sedan, five doors hatchback and two doors convertible and powered by Suzuki G engine family.

Car model

Suzuki Swift launches several generations. The first model is Suzuki Swift 5 doors built in 2003–2006. The model is also known as Suzuki Ignis. The body configuration provides in 3 doors and 5 doors hatchback. This car is endorsed by a novel invention of Suzuki inline-four gasoline engines, called as the M family. Therefore, it also offers 1.3 L M13A I4 and 1.5 L M15A I4 by 4 speed automatic and 5 speed manual of transmission. Then, it has front or four-wheel drive. Moreover, the second model is produced in 2004–2010. It provides 3 doors hatchback, 4 doors sedan and 5 doors hatchback of its body style. Then, it supported by engine of 1.2 L I4, 1.3 L I4, 1.5 L I4 and 1.6 L I4. The transmission varies from 4 speed automatic and 5 speed manual. The correspondingly 1.3 and 1.5 liter of petrol engines reach at 92 metric horsepower (68 kW; 91 hp) and 102 metric horsepower (75 kW; 101 hp). In addition, the 1.2 liter of engine is adjusted with an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) transmission for front wheel drive only. Thus, the third model has been producing since 2010 up to now. The model is believed as an evolution of the essential second-generation modeling empowered by a 1.2 liter VVT of petrol engine producing 92 bhp.
